Welcome
United Dance Productions saw it's humble beginnings in Suzette Harvey’s backyard in the summer of 1990, with a diverse group of dancers from the island’s dance schools. In 1992, it officially opened it's doors as a two-tier organization with a dance school and company offering all disciplines of dance: ballet, tap, jazz, modern and introduced hip-hop to the island. Dancers were invited from all over the island to rehearse material that had been influenced by the Broadway show Sarafina. Later, A Tribute to Nelson Mandela was staged to sell out audiences for three consecutive weekends. This would be the start to what is now a thirty-year legacy.
UDP has been a staple in the community, offering free dance performances at Harbor Night, the Premier’s Concert, the Bermuda Day Parade, church events as well as offering free dance classes to students in our Jr. Company. We have been chosen to represent Bermuda at Carifesta on two separate occasions, showcasing Bermuda’s talent. Many of our students who have chosen to pursue the arts as a career are now on Broadway (Lion King), performers in the West End, and have opened their own dance companies. Beyond the arts, other alumni dancers have pursued medical, legal, insurance, educational and so many other careers.
United Dance Productions continues to improve and inspire the education and training of dancers from 3years to adults.
