Terms & Conditions

All parents/guardians are required to be in agreement with the following terms and conditions as part of the registration process. Please read through the below and click the agreement button to proceed.

Copyright

  • All rights including copyright of website content are held by UDP

  • In accessing UDP’s web pages you agree that you will access the contents solely for your own private and/ or educational use but not for any commercial use. You undertake not to copy, store in any medium, distribute, transmit, retransmit, broadcast, modify, or show in public any part if the UDP’s website without the prior written permission from UDP in accordance with the copyright.

  • No cameras or video recording equipment are allowed in class, unless written permission has been granted by UDP. All photographs taken by UDP during the classes are under the copyright of UDP.

 

Calendar

  • UDP runs three consecutive terms:

    • Term 1: September – December

    • Term 2: January – March

    • Term 3:  April – June

 

Conditions of Payment

  • Payments may be made via cash or electronic payments only. Online payments are accepted and may be made to the following account: HSBC 006 051197 012 Please note the name of the dancer within your payment details.

  • UDP does not accept cheques.

  • It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure that the dancer’s account is up to date. UDP does not send reminder invoices.

  • No refunds under any circumstances will be given for missed classes.

  • Upon registration, dancers shall be charged for each consecutive term until UDP receives written notification of withdrawal/termination.

  • Should the company be subject to any charges/fees as a result of any payments being declined, incorrect or invalid payment details, unauthorized cancellations etc., you will be liable to pay UDP this amount within 14 days.

  • Term fees are due and payable within 14 days of the commencement of term. All fees not paid within this time will incur a non-refundable late fee of $50.00.

  • Accounts with outstanding tuition, at the end of the dance year, shall be submitted to the Bermuda Debt Collection.

 

Dress Code

  • All students are to be dressed appropriately in their ballet, jazz or tap uniform at the commencement of class with their hair in a suitable style.

  • No jewelry is to be worn during class save for small stud earrings.

 

Conduct

  • No chewing gum is permitted on the premises.

  • UDP is a strictly no smoking institution, and therefore no students, parents or visitors are allowed to smoke on the premises. Alcohol, chewing of gum and eating is also prohibited.

  • Any student found displaying bad conduct, disturbing classes, regularly arriving late for class(s) without permission and general misbehavior will not be tolerated. The student will be asked to leave the course and fees will be forfeited.

  • Students are asked to attend classes without creating excessive noise outside or causing a nuisance to neighboring businesses. Parents are requested to ensure that their children are well behaved.

  • Students are not permitted to make any public performance of any dance numbers taught at UDP without prior written permission. Use of any choreography taught by UDP  without such permission will result in immediate dismissal and forfeiture of course fees.

 

Attendance

  • All students must be punctual to class.

  • Students are kindly asked to wait outside the class and they should only enter the class when their class is due to commence.

  • Only students whose names are on the registers will be allowed to participate in the class. Individuals who are not on the registers will be asked to leave.

  • Any student wishing to partake in the recital must attend rehearsals. The office should be notified immediately if a student is going to be absent for any period of time.

  • It is common courtesy to contact the office if a student is to be absent for any period of time due to illness, holiday, school camp etc.

  • No parents / visitors are allowed to sit in the class whilst the class is being conducted

 

Injury & Safety Policy

  • Any injury/illness that may restrict or hinder a student must be reported to the teacher prior to class.

  • It is recommended that students, although injured or ill (unless contagious), attend classes for viewing purposes.

 

MISC

  • It is the responsibility of all parents to communicate to the office any changes in their personal details or any other details. Please do not communicate any of these changes to the teachers, as they will not be in a position to deal with such matters.

  • No responsibility is taken for any loss or damage of personal property of students. Personal property is brought to class at the student’s own risk.

  • It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to check the notice board weekly for updates and notifications.

  • This agreement is subject to termination by UDP at any time with notice.

 

If these terms and conditions are not accepted in full, please cease registration.
